But in a world where everyone says that they value quality, safety and information security, how do we objectively prove our commitment to, and more importantly, measure our delivery against these values?

The International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) is an independent, non-government, international organisation that develops standards to ensure quality, safety and efficiency of products, services and systems. They produce more than 23,000 standards covering companies and industries world-wide.

At Connect Source we have chosen to measure ourselves (and be independently certified) against three of the most well-known ISO standards:

ISO 9001 – Quality Management

ISO 9001 sets out the criteria for a best practice quality management system. It is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement. Using ISO 9001 helps to ensure that customers get consistent, good-quality products and services.

ISO 45001 – Occupational Health and Safety

ISO 45001 sets out the criteria for an OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) management system. It provides a best practice framework to increase safety, reduce workplace risks and enhance health and well-being at work, enabling an organization to proactively improve its OH&S performance.

ISO 27001 – Information Security Management

ISO 27001 is widely known, providing requirements for an information security management system (ISMS). Using ISO27001 enables organisations of any kind to manage the security of assets such as financial information, intellectual property, employee details or information entrusted by third parties.
